Description

Before completing the application form, you must read the Guidelines. It has important information about the eligibility criteria and your role and responsibilities.  

If you wish to apply, you will need to register and fill out the application form:

  1. Click the Register button at the top of this page. This will take you to the Register for an applicant account page.
  2. Enter your details and click the Create account button.
  3. You will receive an email. Click on the Confirm email address link to verify your account. Note: you may need to check your junk mail for this email. You are now ready to apply.

To apply:

  1. Click the Apply button on this page. This will take you to the Apply page.
  2. Enter your email and password and click the Log in button.
  3. Complete the Eligibility check section.
  4. If you pass the Eligibility check you will proceed to the application.
  5. Use the Task instructions at the top of each page to guide you through the application steps. You can save your application at any time by clicking the Save & Continue button. Note: you will need to log back in each time to complete your application. When you have finished each section click the Mark as complete button.
  6. Before you submit your application, you will need to upload:
    • a Council rates notice or similar evidence to confirm that you own your home. If you don't have a Council rates notice please contact the program team at solarforlowincome.program@planning.nsw.gov.au to discuss alternate forms of evidence.
    • a recent electricity bill, including all pages, to confirm that you are receiving the Low Income Household Rebate.
    • an image of your Pensioner Concession Card or Department of Veterans' Affairs Gold Card to confirm it is valid and up to date.
  7. Click Review to check your application then Submit.

If you have already started your application:

  1. Click the Apply button on this page and enter your email and password login details. This will take you to the Apply page.
  2. Click the See my application button to re-open your application, so you can complete and submit. We will also send you email reminders to complete your application. Note: you may need to check your junk mail to see these email reminders.

If you have forgotten your application log in details, seek assistance by emailing solarforlowincome.program@planning.nsw.gov.au.
